Matilda \u0160prung, (Prirodoslovno-matemati\u010dki fakultet, Split), \u010dlan&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Naslov:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Otkrivanje geneti\u010dkih \u010dimbenika povezanih s ukupnom razinom hormona \u0161titne \u017elijezde u serumu&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Title:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Identification of genetic factors associated with total serum levels of thyroid hormones&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sa\u017eetak<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u0160titna \u017elijezda je endokrina \u017elijezda u  tijelu koja lu\u010di dva va\u017ena hormona, tiroksin (T4) i trijodtironin (T3),  koji sna\u017eno utje\u010du na gotovo sve stanice u organizmu. Njihov utjecaj  o\u010dituje se kroz mnoge fiziolo\u0161ke procese u organizmu osiguravaju\u0107i time  normalni rast i razvoj organizma. Razinu hormona T3 i T4 odre\u0111uju  okoli\u0161ni i genetski \u010dimbenici. Kako bi se istra\u017eili genetski \u010dimbenici  povezani s razinom hormona, provest \u0107e se ra\u010dunalne analize cjelokupnog  genoma odnosno cjelogenomske analize povezanosti (engl. <em>genome-wide association study<\/em>, GWAS).
