{"id":2096,"date":"2024-10-01T18:13:14","date_gmt":"2024-10-01T16:13:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biophysics.pmfst.unist.hr\/?p=2096"},"modified":"2024-11-07T12:39:13","modified_gmt":"2024-11-07T10:39:13","slug":"call-for-applications-for-enrollment-in-the-doctoral-study-program-in-biophysics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biophysics.pmfst.unist.hr\/en\/call-for-applications-for-enrollment-in-the-doctoral-study-program-in-biophysics\/","title":{"rendered":"CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR ENROLLMENT IN THE DOCTORAL STUDY PROGRAM IN BIOPHYSICS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The enrollment quota is 10 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study program lasts for 3 years and carries 180 ECTS credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are exempt from paying tuition fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the application for enrollment (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pmfst.unist.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/1.-psb_prijava_za_upis_2024.docx\">Form 1<\/a>), the following documents must be submitted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A CV<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A certificate (diploma) of completed university graduate studies in physics, chemistry, biology, or related disciplines,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An official transcript of grades with an average grade that should generally be above 4.0,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A certified copy of proof of citizenship or nationality,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A motivation letter for enrollment in the doctoral study of Biophysics, detailing scientific research interest and future plans (up to two pages),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommendations from two distinguished scientists or university professors from the institution where the applicant graduated or worked,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A recommendation from a potential mentor and co-mentor, including a statement confirming secured funding for the doctoral candidate&#8217;s research and other necessary expenses within the doctoral program (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pmfst.unist.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/1.-a.-psb_preporuka_potencijalnog_mentora_2024.docx\">Form 1.A<\/a>),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A proposal for scientific research written together with the potential mentor and co-mentor (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pmfst.unist.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/1.-b.-psb_prijedlog-znanstvenog-istrazivanja_mentor-i-komentor_2024.docx\">Form 1.B<\/a>),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of active proficiency in the English language, either with an appropriate certificate (not older than two years) or through an interview with the selection committee,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information on awards received during studies and published scientific papers and\/or abstracts of posters\/presentations at conferences (if applicable),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For conditional enrollment (for applicants with degrees in other acceptable scientific fields):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A certificate (diploma) of completed university graduate studies in mathematics; studies in the field of technical, biotechnical sciences, or the field of biomedicine and health <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must provide documents proving competencies acquired through formal, non-formal, or informal learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The application must specify whether the applicant is applying for full-time or part-time doctoral studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications from foreign nationals are welcome and will be considered under the same terms and criteria as for Croatian nationals (more information available on the website <a href=\"https:\/\/biophysics.pmfst.unist.hr\/\">https:\/\/biophysics.pmfst.unist.hr\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both male and female candidates are encouraged to apply.
